Rebels Music Empire
Was designed by students of hip hop & built on the love for creation. Graduated & ready to attack with force, Rebels Music Empire is commanding the platform. The roundtable is headed by Jebari "Real" Bates (C.E.O),
Nigel "Rashid Amir" Welch (Vice President), Keven "X" Griffith (Creative Director),
& Gabriel "The Last Son" Rodriguez (C.F.O).
Rebels Music Empire is an independent recording label rooted in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Formed in the summer of 2008, The Empire is structured as a company defining new grounds of self expression thru music. Tailored to the realities of life, Rebels Music is able to seek common ground with any listener. Each artist vividly paints musical pictures from their individual perspectives. The music could be defined as the new New York sound. Carefully crafted by producers Saez The Architect, Rashid Amir, Real The Magnificent & Cliff Rock, this is the soundtrack for the new generation of
hip hop.
Mission Statement:
We are the next level. Now, what is the next level? As a recording label, we want to introduce a sound and a visual,
which is not like the rest of the competition. Our best elements comes from thinking outside of the box because it fits
our character.
It's now time to introduce Rebels Music Empire to a bigger and broader audience. As Rebels, we commit ourselves
not to follow the basic procedure that the music industry has laid out, but to introduce ourselves as an independent powerhouse with the mentality to go against the grain. It only makes you ask yourself, well..what else do we need?
We need you as the public to open your ears and let the sound grab you out of your seat.
Here at the Rebels Music Empire, we work hard to perfect our craft and be the best producers, artists, and executives. It is our duty to take our music and hip hop to the next level, to reach the masses with a sound so great that you must request it.
So I welcome you to the Rebels Music Empire. The Next Level.

Bio
How the formation of R.Me came about, it seemed predetermined. Before they were a group, they collaborated on several songs together. These songs would go onto be the foundation in bringing these 4 individuals together to form the gritty, explosive group: R.Me.
Real & X have always been a group, since they were 10, titled The Truth. They were the executives of an independent recording label which housed Steph L.V. While they were doing their thing, Rashid Amir was just a couple of blocks away developing his own music & independent recording label. Since Real & Rashid go all the way back to elementary, they got back in contact thru a mutual friend & began collaborating in 2005. In beginning of 2008, a new venture aligning 4 different camps under one major independent label began to flourish. Rashid Amir joined into the venture, bringing his grassroots style. In the summer of 2008, The Truth was putting together a LP titled "Under The Influence." This album had two joints featuring the 4 artists together. These two songs ("Beautiful Day" & "Superman Juice") became the evidence that these 4 individuals combined together can create a tremendous force in music.
While Rebels Music Empire was going thru a birthing stage in 2008, alot of drama had to be cut off in order for the heads of the label to nurture, develop & protect the vision of this new venture. When the smoke cleared, it left Real, X, Steph L.V, & Rashid Amir to pick up pieces. Rather than do a regular solo or 2 man group project, the idea came about for these 4 lyricists to unite. After some convincing & a vision layout, they formed like Voltron.
Rashid Amir is the mellowest artist in the group. Stay with a mid tone & always laid back in the corner mumbling to himself. What is he mumbling? This is his form of writing, without a pen or paper. He composes the rhyme in his head & lays it to the track. Remembering every rhyme scheme & wordplay, he's lethal.
X Maximus or X or just plain Maximus, sounds like he just got out of jail. He invokes the grittiness in R.Me. He's the biggest shittalker out of them all. It's easy not to like him, but the raw quality he brings to a song, you can't deny. When you hear him, you feel the sense of passion in each word he speaks.
Steph L.V is one of the most smoothest, chilled characters that you might come in contact with. Off the mic, he's a clown. He'll have you dying in the studio. On the mic, his flow is automatic. It doesn't matter what beat or topic, he'll have something to say & his rhythmic pattern outshines many.
Real is the hype. He hits the stage calm & collected. The beat drops & he tranforms into another person. His voice projects even when he whispers. He displays a certain confidence towards each song he graces. His intensity & his nature for being blunt intimidates, but what do you expect from a dude named Real.
R.Me debut album is titled "Still Untitled Til' This Day." The LP is a conceptual storyline project. It is promising to be something fresh & new for the listeners to vibe to. "Ric Flair" has been R.Me's introduction to the world. "Carrie Fever" is the creeping up 2nd single that has a new aged bounce. You are only witnessing the beginning. Prepare to convert back to original, thought provoking, timeless music.
The young talent from Queens, Jordan C. King a.k.a SoleBlind, grew up in the borough of Queens where artists such as Nas, Mobb Deep & LL Cool J hailed from. Always surrounded by music in some way, he started writing poetry at the age of 11, which later led to rhymes at age 12. There would be days where he would separate himself from all the other kids and just write until his hands hurt, literally. He was involved in his junior high school choir and since 13, he's been in a marching band playing the cymbals, eventually working his way up to the bass drum line which he is the leader of now. He also became involved with dancing, but recently stopped dancing to devote his energy towards his music.
While crafting his skills, he was introduced to R.Me by a mutual friend. Nervous but determined he kicked a 16 in front of X's crib. Sensing the hunger and talent, he was invited to some studio sessions in The Cave. The first couple of sessions were test runs. After a conversation about directing his thoughts and sticking to the topic, his first song released was "Wake Up." After that, the wheels started turning & SoleBlind was recording new records each week. Independent & a visionary, he made videos for "Wake Up" & "One Love" within 2 months.
Beginning to hit the underground circuit and take flight, he has been performing anywhere he could get in. Almost any set R.Me has, SoleBlind is there to hit the stage. Now getting booked shows and preparing the release of his mixtape debut ("The Sound of Thought") & only 17, he's looking beyond the stars. His ability to envision a dream and transform it into a song and a visual, demonstrates his gift. The sky isn't the limit, it's just the beginning.
Growing up in a musically inclined family, the notes, melodies, and grooves run through this emcees veins. He teamed up with his buddies to form R.Me consisting of Steph L.V, Real Da
Magnificent, X. Maximus, and Rashid Amir it's no turning back. He's even been featured on a few local/independent r&b tracks The Breakdown(Ayanda Sunshine), and Warning You
(eXonda), to name a few and has even worked with international hip hop artist such as Frozen State, Tough Dumplin, and George Reefah to touch the Canadian markets. For a short
time Rashid was also a host and program director for "Urbanicity" a show that focused on Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Spoken Word, Break Dancing/B-Boying, DJ's and Graff Artist (be on the
look out for a revamped edition of this show). He's also featured on MISC: Let Me Be Heard Vol 2. a compilation CD, which was released in Spring 2008. Rashid Amir also has his own mix
tape "Tailor Made" available for free digital download as well as quite a few R.Me projects, including "The Classics"in which they pay homage to the golden era of Hip Hop. The most
recent of all projects is "Still Untitled 'Til This Day", and a significant role in what is to be known as "The Brooklyn 35" project. Always in the works for something fresh, new, and
innovative only time will tell what this budding emcee is capable of doing next.
